In 2026, the Swiss Society of Hand Surgery will host the FESSH Congress in Basel, with a packed schedule of presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities. The congress will be held in conjunction with the European Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy (EFSHT) and the Swiss Society for Hand Therapy, a unique opportunity to deepen our interdisciplinary collaboration and to learn from each other.

The upcoming FESSH Congress in Basel, 2026, focusses on „Restoration of the Balance to improve Hand Function„. This theme explores the complex interplay of structures required for a balanced optimal hand function. Skeletal stability, joint congruency and harmony between intrinsic and extrinsic ligaments as well as muscles and tendons all contribute to balance. Innervation, vascularity, and central nervous control regulate and maintain these functions.
